Just like in our busy and maybe stressful life, we need to ensure that the balance is there in our lives. Work hard...but learn to find time to be with your family members, spend some time doing things that you love, go for a holiday or learn a new hobby.<br />

I have taken up Name Wire Writing as my hobby a few years ago. Little did I know that it will grow as one of my income streams and with the help of the internet, my customers is the world. Literally, people from other country is my potential customers thanks to the World Wide Web or the Internet. Keep the world connected. After reading through Andy Turner's ebook, I have to admit that I didn't really follow his style of wire writing.<br />
<br />
When I started, I bought and read his ebook, I learned to START and find the tools needed to start my new hobby, Name Writing. But I did not actually follow 100% his style of writing. I developed my own style of writing but he gave me the idea, and the basis on what and how to bend my wirename.<br />
<br />
I believe the same will be for you when you get his wire writing secrets ebook. You will get all the things or information that you need but at the end of the day is how will you find your own "voice", your own style..your own expression through the wire that makes the difference.<br />

This is a shout out for a fellow wirename bender, Jesselyn Lai , a malaysian just like me who loves <a href="http://e34a2-09viqfx0wky8n77w4k8w.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=WIRENAME-CRAFTDAZZLYN" target="_blank">Wire Writing</a>. I am very fond of her style of wire writing. It was very well formed and rounded<br />
<br />
The initials were done beautifully and even a little heart at the end. the wirename however, are meant to be dainty and not so big in size so that it suits its purpose as a mobile keychain in terms of size and hardness. However, it is possible for her to make them bigger upon request.<br />
<br />
I understand that the strap may seem 'flimsy' as it feels a bit like plastic, but I have personally tested different types of straps and this one lasts longer and is stronger compared to cotton string types - as long as you do not intentionally cut or weaken it.<br />

This will be very helpful for those wanting to know more on how to bend certain letters. I especially loved the way this guy bend his letter "J". It was so nice!<br />
<br />
Tools Needed:<br />
1. Round-Nosed Pliers<br />
2. Wire Cutter<br />
3. Silver Plated copper size 18 gauge or 1.0 mm. <br />
<br />
In my early days, one of my main problem is finding where I can buy the wire to be use for my name keychains. You can find this in a lot of bead shops, craft shops but if you want to use it for your business, I recommend ordering it from Griffin.de (a German supplier). However, in order for you to order from them, you need to be company. <br />
<br />
It's worth it, even with shipping, as it works out that you can buy it for roughly $2 a roll whereas if you buy it in local craft stores you will pay $7 - $9.<br />
<br />
Enjoy the tutorial video below. <br />

<b>General tips for wire work</b><br />
<b><br />
</b><br />
Use the pliers as a vice rather than using them to twist the wire itself. Use the other hand to manipulate the wire.<br />
<br />
Use the file to carefully remove any marks left by the pliers on the wire. This works with pure wire or alloys but not plated.<br />
<br />
The first small letter after the capital determines the size of all the other letters following, make sure the first letter isn’t too large or small, because then the whole name will be either large or small – this really comes with practice and what you are making the name for – necklace, brooch or something else.<br />
<br />
The spacing matters too, same applies – whatever space you have between your first two letters should remain constant wherever possible throughout the name. Generally, spacing should be slightly greater in smaller names (3, 4 or 5 letters) and reduced in long names (7,8,9 letters)<br />
<br />
Any symbol can be made at the end of the name, I use a heart basically because I learned that from my teacher, but I have made treble clefs (music notes) and stars in the past, best to keep it simple if you are selling them though.<br />
<br />
Buy a silver cloth if you are working with any type of silver wire, it is invaluablefor first using it when you straighten the wire prior to making the name, and when you have finished making the name it removes any marks or fingerprints.<br />
<br />
Whenever a small letter I follows a letter with a loop above the baseline – eg: lower case l or f make the loop on the l or f very slim to make room for the letter i which is raised slightly above the rest of the lower case letters because of the dot.<br />
<br />
Remember too that any other letters in the name with loops above the baseline should be slim also to match the l or the f.<br />
<br />
When making a lower case n always make the spacing very small just before you make the letter n. When you complete the n you will see why, the spacing automatically widens due to the method used in making the n.<br />
<br />
The underline on the names that I make are basically to strengthen the name to make it more robust. You can leave the underline off though if you wish and terminate the name just after you make the heart and loop it once around the upstroke of the wire just before you come to the heart. This works best with short names where the strength isn’t so important, but it can cause havoc on long names where they are easily bent out of shape without the underline.<br />
<br />
In the past I have made name bracelets as there is a demand for them. I did drop the idea selling them though, as they require extra work. I didn’t find an easy way to stop them getting snagged on clothing and the people who bought them would lose them quickly. That is not to say there isn’t a method of making name bracelets (or anklets) from the wire they just need to be more robust somehow.<br />
<br />
There are lots of applications for personalizing using the wire names. Here are a few I have come across:<br />
<br />
<ol><li>Name necklaces</li>
<li>Name brooches (pins)</li>
<li>Name tie pins</li>
<li>Letter holders (made with thicker aluminum wire)</li>
<li>Name Bracelets</li>
<li>Name Anklets</li>
<li>Name Earrings</li>
<li>Names on cakes</li>
<li>Names to personalize anything you can glue them to</li>
<li>House names (made from thicker wire)</li>
</ol><br />
There are undoubtedly more applications – plenty of scope for the imagination !<br />
<br />
If you are thinking of making the names for a living, make some for friends and family first to get their approval. Also in a situation where you are selling directly to the public you will need to make the name fairly quickly on a “while you wait” basis so you should get the time it takes to make the name down to at most 10<br />
minutes.<br />
<br />
To carry your business around with you, you can use a laptop bag or any similar sized bag and one of those plastic compartmented fishing trays. In my kit I carry most of the stuff needed to make names.<br />
<br />
Here is a list of what I carry in my bag and which may help you also:<br />
<br />
<ol><li>2 x long nosed pliers (one fine and one regular)</li>
<li>A pair of snips or cutters</li>
<li>A pair of scissors</li>
<li>A 12 inch (30cm) ruler to measure chains</li>
<li>Pens</li>
<li>A Black Marker</li>
<li>Silver cloth</li>
<li>Sterling silver wire 1 mm dia, and 0.9 mm dia (for the jump rings),</li>
<li>silver plated wire, gold fill wire</li>
<li>Jump rings (the rings that attach the chain to the wire in necklaces)</li>
<li>Sterling silver chains of different lengths</li>
<li>Small pieces of black card to mount the name on</li>
<li>Larger pieces of black card to protect the name in transit (when I post names)</li>
<li>Re-sealable plastic bags to put the name in</li>
<li>Stamps for postage</li>
<li>Rectangular pieces of contact (cut from a big roll) to protect the address labels</li>
<li>Sheets of address labels to print the sending and receiving addresses</li>
</ol><br />
<br />
If you want to sell your names at craft fairs or markets, the simplest way to display your wares is to construct a display unit from pin boards or cork boards. You can then mount these on a portable table of some kind. I used to use an artists easel, very light and portable.<br />
<br />
Your setup at markets and fairs etc is typically very simple and requires a small space at the market or fair which is a great advantage rent wise. I used to fit easily into a 2 m space. Also you can rent a space with a friend as an alternative which helps with stuff like toilet breaks and getting food as they can look after your setup while you are away.<br />
<br />
Over the years I had built up a large stock of popular names,. This helps enormously when you are selling in front of the public as it means you don’t have to make every name. I found roughly that I sold 50% of my names from stock and 50% making them on the spot. This means you double your takings. Names vary in popularity according to the country you are in, but you should be able to find a list on the net of say the top 50 or 100 names or more.<br />
<br />
You can store your stock in plastic sealed bags which protects them from oxidizing. If exposed to the atmosphere they will tarnish over time and it is an arduous process to clean them. Always have a large float of change when you work at a market or fair – there’s nothing worse than running out and having to hassle your stall holder neighbors for change.<br />
<br />
A money pouch or belt is the best to store your float in, it saves you<br />
being separated from your money and the possibility of getting it stolen.<br />

</div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Before I start the lessons, you need to know a few things.</b></div></div><div><div style="text-align: left;"><b><br />
</b></div></div><div><div style="text-align: left;">1. The wire can not be too soft. If you start with the soft wire, your names are not</div></div><div><div style="text-align: left;"> going to be easy to make them latter on. 28 g. round is good.</div></div><div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div></div><div><div style="text-align: left;">2. If you use sq. wire you need to pay attention every time you bend it because it will</div></div><div><div style="text-align: left;"> twist, for sure. {In this case you need square nose pliers to untwist it}</div></div><div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div></div><div><div style="text-align: left;">3. Always pinch the wire from the back when bending.</div></div><div><div style="text-align: left;"> Do not unbend (Go back to do it better} because it will brake</div></div><div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div></div><div><div style="text-align: left;">4. Make sure your work is flat and even while you are working the piece otherwise is</div></div><div><div style="text-align: left;"> going to be difficult to do it later.</div></div><div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div></div><div><div style="text-align: left;">5. Get 15 inches of wire so you practice more than once.</div></div><div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div></div><div><div style="text-align: left;">6. Be patient, maybe the first few times is not what you expect but practice will get</div></div><div><div style="text-align: left;"> you there. {My first one looked like a license plate in zig zag big and uneven}</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">Now here we go on the wire name lessons:</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: center;"><b> Lesson # Description</b></div></div></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: center;"> <a href="http://wirename-craft.blogspot.com/2012/01/wire-jewelry-step-by-step-amy-pendant.html" target="_blank">One</a> <a href="http://wirename-craft.blogspot.com/2012/01/wire-jewelry-step-by-step-amy-pendant.html" target="_blank">Amy</a></div></div></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: center;"> <a href="http://wirename-craft.blogspot.com/2012/01/wire-jewelry-step-by-step-beth.html" target="_blank">Two</a> <a href="http://wirename-craft.blogspot.com/2012/01/wire-jewelry-step-by-step-beth.html" target="_blank">Beth</a></div></div></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: center;"> <a href="http://wirename-craft.blogspot.com/2012/01/wire-jewelry-step-by-step-mother.html" target="_blank">Three</a> <a href="http://wirename-craft.blogspot.com/2012/01/wire-jewelry-step-by-step-mother.html" target="_blank">Mother</a></div></div></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: center;"> Four Cindy</div></div></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: center;"> Five Diane</div></div></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: center;"> Six Evelyn</div></div></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: center;"> Seven Ruby</div></div></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: center;"> Eight Frida</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

<div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Before I start the lessons, you need to know a few things.</b></div></div><div><b><br />
</b></div><div>1. The wire can not be too soft. If you start with the soft wire, your names are not</div><div> going to be easy to make them latter on. 28 g. round is good.</div><div><br />
</div><div>2. If you use sq. wire you need to pay attention every time you bend it because it will</div><div> twist, for sure. {In this case you need square nose pliers to untwist it}</div><div><br />
</div><div>3. Always pinch the wire from the back when bending.</div><div> Do not unbend (Go back to do it better} because it will brake</div><div><br />
</div><div>4. Make sure your work is flat and even while you are working the piece otherwise is</div><div> going to be difficult to do it later.</div><div><br />
</div><div>5. Get 15 inches of wire so you practice more than once.</div><div><br />
</div><div>6. Be patient, maybe the first few times is not what you expect but practice will get</div><div> you there. {My first one looked like a license plate in zig zag big and uneven}<br />
<br />
Now here we go on the wire name lessons:<br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;"><span style="background-color: #fbfecf; color: teal;">Maggie has worked hard on this tutorial for all the people looking for a kickstart in learning wirename crafts. So Thanks to Maggie=) </span></div></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xI2j0Dz6Flc/Tx1AFn-T12I/AAAAAAAAAqA/PiqGSULItWk/s1600/maggiesm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xI2j0Dz6Flc/Tx1AFn-T12I/AAAAAAAAAqA/PiqGSULItWk/s1600/maggiesm.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">During my early days, He tutorials helped me a lot! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;"><b>Before I start the lessons, you need to know a few things.</b></div><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;"><b><br />
</b></div><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">1. The wire can not be too soft. If you start with the soft wire, your names are not</div><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">going to be easy to make them latter on. 28 g. round is good.</div><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">2. If you use sq. wire you need to pay attention every time you bend it because it will</div><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">twist, for sure. {In this case you need square nose pliers to untwist it}</div><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">3. Always pinch the wire from the back when bending.</div><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">Do not unbend (Go back to do it better} because it will brake</div><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">4. Make sure your work is flat and even while you are working the piece otherwise is</div><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">going to be difficult to do it later.</div><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">5. Get 15 inches of wire so you practice more than once.</div><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">6. Be patient, maybe the first few times is not what you expect but practice will get</div><div style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">you there. {My first one looked like a license plate in zig zag big and uneven}<br />

“y”<br />
<br />
14. Grasp it at the bottom bring to the right and up.<br />
<br />
15. Grasp it at the top (a little higher than the first part of the “y:”) bring it to the back and<br />
down; press it at the top and roll the two wires together a little bit. (you should have the<br />
“y” )<br />
<br />
16. From the back grasp the tail (wire should be in front of the pliers) bring to the left and<br />
up to the right.<br />
<br />
17.Now, take the end; grasp it a little higher than the tip of the “A (look at the picture for reference) and bend it up, fold it back and around the pliers twice, to form a double loop; then around the wire twice to finish it; cut the excess in the back. This is for the chain; do the same with the piece of wire that you left in<br />
the very beginning. Finish filing the ends and carefully crimp the ends. Polish it a little and<br />
Enjoy it!!!<br />
<br />
Congratulations you finish the name. <br />

<br />
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px; line-height: 1.5em;">With their seemingly endless adolescence problems, the teen age group is probably the hardest to please with a gift idea. This makes picking out a gift idea for a teen a very challenging and arduous task indeed. The sort of task that many parents and relatives dread with a capital "D".</span><br />
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px; line-height: 1.5em;"><br />

<div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px; line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;">Fortunately, once again, a wise and shrewd parent or relative seeking a teen gift idea can settle for the tried and tested age old idea that has never been known to disappoint. We are of course talking about jewelry here.</div><div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px; line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;">But even within a jewelry idea of a teen gift, there is a wide range of different ideas to choose from. This is because there are many different jewelry items to choose from. The teen gift idea that you end up will also be greatly impacted by the gender of the teen that the gift is targeted at. Teen girls are probably the category that has the widest possible choices of items and ideas available in jewelry. But then they will tend to be more difficult to satisfy and please with a gift than their male counterparts.</div><div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px; line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;">Some of the possible wire jewelry items that you can seriously consider for your teen gift idea to a girl include wire name pins and brooches, Cabochon pendants, neck wire and earrings to name but a few.</div><div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px; line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;">Another useful factor to consider when agonizing over the right teen gift idea in jewelry is the character and personality of the person being gifted. This can assist you greatly when it comes to settling on certain specifics and finer details of the teen gift idea.</div><div style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px; line-height: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;">Still what you will have going for you when looking for a teen gift idea is the fact that the finishing touch you put will add tremendous value in the recipients' eyes. And that is the personalization of the jewelry by curving out their name or initials on the item. There are many beautiful ways in which this can be easily accomplished amongst most of the leading online dealers in <a href="http://c9d0052i5nfhw7wfwfv-5pcr7y.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=WIRENAME%20FACEBOOK" target="_blank">wire name jewelry</a>.</div><span style="color: #333333; font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px;"><br />

Creative HandicraftIf you need a gift for a special person, or just need some time to unwind, make a creative handicraft. Crafting is therapeutic when you are feeling stressed, and it also can yield a useful or decorative item. Everyone has some measure of creativity, and with modern kits and patterns, a creative handicraft does not have to end in frustration.<br />
<br />
If you have a sewing machine, you can learn to make a creative handicraft that will be a useful and welcome gift. Potholders are a great beginning sewing project that can be made from scrap material or unwanted clothing and a bit of double-fold bias tape. Here are the simple instructions for this creative handicraft.<br />
<br />
First cut two 8-inch (21 cm.) squares of fabric to be the front and back of the potholder. Choose coordinating fabrics that match your kitchen for these pieces. To make it easier, you can make an 8-inch square pattern from a piece of cardboard to use as a pattern. Cut more 8-inch squares of any old fabric to stack for the filling. You want the stack of fabric squares to be thick enough to protect you from a hot pot, but thin enough to be flexible and able to be sewn through.<br />
<br />
Stack all layers so that the outer layers are facing to the outside and the filler layers are inside. You can put a couple of large straight pins through all layers to keep them together. Now sew right across the middle of the stack. Sew across the middle again, perpendicular to the first stitching. You will have divided the square into 4 squares. Sew across the stack again from corner to corner, and again from the other corner to corner. The layers should be joined and sturdy now.<br />
<br />
To bind off the raw edges of your creative handicraft, trim with scissors so that all the layers are again even at the edges. Open out one folded edge of the bias tape. The wider bias tape might seem to be easier to use, but the narrow type makes a neater finished product. Starting at one corner, line up the edges of the tape with the edges of the potholder, and start stitching through all layers along the first fold line, which will be about 1/4 inch from the edge. Stitch neatly and slowly, attaching the opened tape all around the edge until you reach the beginning corner. Cut the bias tape off, leaving 3 inches, (7 cm.) to make into a hanging loop. <br />
<br />
Fold the bias tape over the raw edge so that the middle fold lines up with the outside of the potholder and the other fold is hiding the raw edge of the bias tape. Now, for best results, hand sew the binding down, forming a loop on your creative handicraft when you get to the end. <br />
<br />
This potholder is just one example of a creative handicraft you can create if you have a sewing machine. When it is finished, you will have a useful item made from all recycled materials. Feel free to give this creative handicraft away or keep it for yourself.<br />

From now on, I will try to write about other type of craft that we learn to make on our own free time. In this article, I will write about Thanksgiving Day Craft that you can start doing with your cute little children. It will be a fun time.<br />
<br />
Thanksgiving Day is a fantastic holiday! What a spiritual replenishment to take a day to chew over over the yesteryear about just how good God has been to you and your family, to give you harvest and protection, wellness and hope. To acquire the most out of this joyful affair, create some holiday crafts with your children. These days, Thanksgiving Day often gets forced out by Hallowe'en's eery ornaments and the lights and gala affair of Christmas. With the coming after holiday crafts, your house can be adorned for this less ruffled but significant celebration.<br />
<br />
Turkeys are a natural pick for decorations. A known project at this time of year is for a youngster to retrace around her hand and make the ensuing drawing into a turkey. The thumb is the head and the fingers are the tail feathers all showed. Although many of the turkeys that are raised for food are now the domestic white assortment, the turkeys eaten by the Pilgrims at the first Thanksgiving Day were the wild brown ones. The tail feathers on a wild turkey are brown, but they are changeable. Capturing light and looking to be colorful. This is why children color the tail feathers in bright colors. <br />
<br />
The turkey's head has a lappet under the pecker. This is a upright flap of loose skin that is blood-red colored. Be sure to draw this in order to make the hand turkey aspect like a turkey. Add up scrawny legs and bird feet. Once done, the kids can cut out the turkeys and hang them on the wall. It's really cute to make a whole flock of these turkeys in the sizes of all the hands in the family. The little hand shapes are particularly sweet.<br />
<br />
Another good turkey decoration to make when making Thanksgiving Day holiday crafts is a turkey door decoration. Make a brown construction paper body and head of a turkey. Now make a large number of colored feather shapes. Each family member writes about a feather something he or she is grateful for before tying as part of the turkey's tail. Repeat till all the feathers are utilized, and string up the turkey on the front entrance to greet visitors with a message of gratitude. Make a sign to accompany the turkey that says "Give thanks to the Lord for He is good!" or simply "Be grateful!" or "We're thankful for you!" or whatever you like.<br />
<br />
Youngsters love creating construction paper chains. To further decorate the house for Thanksgiving Day, let them make a paper chain in fall colors as one of their holiday crafts. Using 9 by 12 inch construction paper, cut the paper in half across the long side and cut the halves into one inch thick six inch long strips. Utilise a stapler to bind the ends of the strip into a circle. Coil the next strip into the circle and staple them. Keep on the process alternating colors of brown, red, yellow, and orange. When the chains are long, you can drap them along the ceiling or stair rail. If you don't make the door turkey, the children can write something they're thankful for on each strip of paper before adding it to the chain.<br />
<br />
Thanksgiving Day is too nice a holiday to let the other more commercial holidays crowd it out. By making holiday crafts to decorate the home for Thanksgiving, you can keep this day special, too. The extended family, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc., will be pleased to see the holiday crafts the young ones have made to decorate the house and make it cheerful for their visit.<br />
